My name is Erika Juhlin, and I’m the builder at Higher Standards and Schooling Essentials.
I’ve owned ponies/horses since I was 5, and have been building schooling jumps for over ten years, with an emphasis on folk-art fillers in the last several years as Schooling Essentials.
Recently the Carolina Horse Park and I discused collaboration on sponsored jump projects for the Park, and Higher Standards emerged.
The first two stadium jumps for the CHP debuted in January 2026 and were very enthusiastically received by sponsors and competitors alike.
